what is wrong with people VENT

we had 8!!!!!! people call last night to tell us that they can't come to our party today! I feel horrible b/c my parents have already paid and given in the seating charts. NOT ONE of those who called was sick - or an emergency. The nerve of some people. These people have known about the party for 3 months and they called to say - I was going to call in sick to work but something came up and so since I didn't take it as a vacation day I can't come now (mind you this is a GM who takes off any day he chooses). Another - oh I fooled around all vacation so now I need to study for finals (which don't start until 5/7. *** you have known about this party for 3 months and rsvp'd yes 3 weeks ago. This person called at 1050 last NIGHT. UGH

That is BULLSH*T,keep that in mind when you do the wedding invites You will have a great party regardless

knowing these people -NOPE they won't give a gift - I wasn't expecting gifts just upset b/c how rude is it to say yes then duck out for things that WERE in their control. People get sick, there are emergencies those things that is bad - but there is nothing you can do - here they just screwed up or I think decided to do something else. I feel bad - although a wedding is MUCH more they are out about 80$ a person. 40 was our min. We were fine until last night we had exactly 40 after everyone rsvp'd.

yeah a little but she is upset b/c it has upset us -these people rsvp'd to THEM but they call ME to tell me they won't show - one is a GM and FH wants to uninvite him from our wedding party. He is very upset - I feel horrible for him - this is his childhood friend - FH was his BM and then he went to everything for his two kids - EVERYTHING - the ONE important FH has this guy ducks out. FH fears he will pull this at the rehearsal or the wedding day. Another is a friend of ours and the other 2 couples were FAMILY!

A lot of times at wediings you find out who your true friends are Just enjoy your night and demand they send the extra food home with you!

We had a couple that didn't show up to our eparty b/c ... they forgot!! Hmmm whatever I won't even go there when I heard about it the day after!

Is there anyone you can invite quickly as to not lose out on that $$? Any friends you wanted to invite but couldn't b/c it was for family only? Just thinking if you don't want to lose out on the money. Unfortunately everyone keeps telling me this happens the day before any big event. People are just VERY inconsiderate and rude. They keep doing it to others until someone does it to them.

I tried to invite 2 people that I really wanted but they were busy - and understandable so - when we called them last minute - Can't really call anyone now when the party is at noon.

The GM just called and said oh I'm coming now - and when he askes FH if he should bring anything like wine or something - FH tells him- oh no you don't have to bring a gift or anything FH was SOOOO upset last night and this morning about it - he was starting arguments with me b/c he was so upset. We are only now trying to get back into the excitment b/c my parents have been yelling at me all night and all morning and NOW they suddenly say oh NOW you should be excited and put all the fighting behind now that we have said our peace to you. UGH
