lets talk details...did you know about the ring...where you surprised...did he ask your parents...etc...
A while ago (like 1.5-2 years) FH said I want to take you somewhere special...can you be at my house by 5...so i said sure...he took my to a jeweler to try on rings...we learnt ALOT about diamonds and got to try on a TON of stuff.... I felll in love with two types of rings...the type with the sapphires on the side...and the type where there is a halo of diamonds around the main diamond...
we had been talking marriage for a while and when we went to coxumel this past summer we talked about it quite seriously....( i almost thought he was proposing here lol)
So in August, im in disney with my family and when I come back FMIL slips about there being a 'ring'....im like ...wiat i thought we were exchanging gifts for the anni (we celebrate every 6 months)? So i see FH and im like babe...really? we werent supposed to be exchanging gifts?! He turned soooooooo red (he can not lie to me), I just knew....
Then he asked me like 5x times if i would be able to take off Jan 26th (the night we met, we always go back to TGIF on this night) then i knew...thats when he was going to do it...so i had to tell him I knew bec I wanted it to be a surprise lol
So September comes around...FH comes to the house to ask the parents...and they say...not yet...the time is not right...shes tooo busy with school right now... (i find this out later of course)
we go to the xmas tree in the City...could of sworn it was happening again...it did not....
FH goes with all the men in the family to thier annual xmas dinner...him and my father talk...approval is given (again i do not know this)
NYE 2008 comes...we are at the Fox Hollow...having an amazing time...(lost of fishy stuff happens with the people at our table, but i already have gone on long enough)....so midnight comes and we are smooching away....next thing I know he is whisepering all amazing things in my ear and then he is on the kneee....i am crying and totally in shock....of course after some pictures and what not...I call my family..they ALL knew...
the ring...it so amazing...he did so good! he got it custom made...it has the sapphires on the side of it..and he even put diamonds on the side bec he knew i liked them in those halo rings...
Later that morning...hes like wanting to lounge around and im wanting to get home...so i finally get him to leave the hotel...lol...and SURPRISE eveyone is at our hous e(including his parents) whom have never met my family..and we had an engagement celebration...him and my mom had the entire thing planned for those last few weeks...

FH and I had been together for a little over 2 years. We had talked about possibly getting engaged this coming summer, but nothing serious. He had suggested we throw a New Years party at our new house and sent out an evite which I was SHOCKED that he even knew how to do! So, Christmas Eve, we are all at my dad's house with my family and my dad is in the garage. FH disappeared (turns out he was asking my dad his permission). When he came back in the house, my Nana randomly asked us if we were going to get engaged for XMAS since we are 28 and she wanted to see me get married before she isnt around to see it, lol. She thinks at 28 I should have 4 kids!! I blurt out, I don't ever want to get engaged on a holiday, I want my own special day!!! (both my sis's got engaged on holidays so i just wanted something different) We stayed at my family's house until the day after Christmas and planned on exchanging gifts when we got back home. So, the night after Christmas, we get home and exchange and I BLEW up on him because, that huge present under the tree i couldn't wait to open, yeah, was a flat screen for our bedroom! And the other present for me, was the WALL MOUNT! I was so mad, because that's something for the both of us! So I start telling him how selfish he is and how I can't believe he couldn't think of one thing to get for me, blah blah blah. So the next day, my family from OOT was planning on coming over to see the new house but canceled last minute. When I told FH, he got all weird. Next thing I know, my family is calling me to tell me they are now coming over again. So that night, we are all sitting around and someone hands me a glass of champagne, and i see everyone else has it, so now, I am still oblivious and am like, what are we toasting? So my aunt is like,the new house? I am like, okay! Then FH is like, wait, I want to make this toast to Nan and goes into this whole speech in front of my family and friend. So, me, like an idiot am like, Eric, please stop, I am over the tv, this is just embarassing now (all on video btw...) then I see him getting all flustered and shaking and I am like, ***, and I look at my BFF and she is crying. Then he got down and proposed as I stared blankly at him COMPLETELY SHOCKED! I finally said yes! Turns out, he had a whole New Years Eve proposal planned but when I made my comment about not wanting a holiday engagement, he altered everything!

I kidna sorta had a idea, but not completely...
FH & I were kinda planning our wedding before the ring...we picked out a date and stuff..
i was content just going and picking out a ring & being done with it..but he wouldnt hear of that...
however, we went & looked at rings so he could get idea of what I liked.... i picked out a few that i fell in love with..there was one in particular...
well month and months went by, and i was starting to loose hope... he promised me before the end of the year ... and i said i didnt want it for christmas... so it was december, and i figured next year sometime ((the year we are in now))
well, it was december 23rd, 2008...and FH and i were just cleaning up the apartment me... he asked me if i wanted to exchange a christmas present...so i was like sure!!
then he was like, lets take pictures..its our first christmas in our apartment..so i was like ok, i got my camera and took pictures of him opening the gift i gave him...
then it was my turn..and he was snapping pictures like crazyyy...i opened up this M&M picture frame (((im a loser who collect M&M things ))) and the bottom of it said MARRY ME! on it, and there was a picture of FH down on one knee holding my ring that he mom took for him...
i started balling like a baby...
then when i looked up, he was down on one knee with my ring, and he was like 'So is that a yes??'
OF COURSE!!!
then i called everyone..and my mom was so happy she cried too..
also, his dad is a big goofball ((just like FH is)) and he called me and was like, 'soo, what do you got on your finger' it was cutee

He proposed when I was sleeping...he bugged me and I told him to leave me alone, then he came back and was bugging me again, so I told him to F off, but he said something along the lines of 'not until you open your eyes' I opened my eyes and there was a ring on my finger!!
We were on vacay and had a great day of activities and an awesome dinner that night. It was a sexy, romantic bistro in Breckenridge, CO... lol. He said I love you baby, will you spend the rest of your life with me and do my the honor of being my wife?
My ring...not a diamond...a beautiful Tanzanite set on Platinum with diamonds inset. Tanzanite - on our first cruise to the Caribbean...I fell in love with this gorgeous gem. It's beautiful and one of my fave colors. So I asked him to buy me one if we ever got married.... 5 years later and he remembered, designed my ring and gave it to me with a diamond pendant. I LOVE him.... he totally remembered and the ring is more beautiful than I could have designed it.

FH asked my Dad about a week before we asked me. My Dad loves him, so of course he said yes!
FH then took me the Plaza Hotel in NYC. We ordered room service and he had the butler put the ring on a covered tray. So when I opened the tray up, there was my ring! And he got down on one knee and proposed, I said yes, burst into tears and here we are!

Did I know:NO WAY, after 8 years i never thought anytime soon bc A. I never really discussed it B never picked out a ring,shape,size
FH and I planned to go to Croatia for vacation, a week before we left he asked my dad for my hand
The day before I left I spoke to one of my good friends and explained to her how if he was to get a ring please shop with him and make sure he doesnt go with his mother. My bff was like crap he went with mom!!!
The 1st day in Croatia we went to this amazing rest on the water and he said 'take my picture' and I was like why? and he said'remember that picture, so i was said Why are you going to propose or something and he said maybe I am and puts the box on the table!!
My face dropped and I was sobbing and he just ate while people stared and thought he dumped me!! The best was our phones didnt work so i had to wait over 24 hours to tell someone!!!!
