What is your biggest regret you have so far (re: planning your wedding)

I wonder. I know after the wedding, brides usually look back and they think of things that they should have done.. or shouldn't have . What is your biggest planning regret that you kind of wish was different??

Anything you wish you did? Anything you wish you didn't??

not taking the time to enjoy my engagement. I was in wedding planning mode immediatly after the ring was on my finger.

Also not blocking rooms for guests at the east wind thinking that they were too expensive! Now guests are complaining that no rooms are available for the ew on my date!

letting others get too involved/have too much say in the decision making (ie. FILs, BMs, etc)! you give people an inch and they take a foot!

I have to agree with MayBride06...We started to plan immediately after we got engaged...I took a break from the planning though bc it got too overwhelming...Otherwise I have done everything that I wanted to do for our wedding

No regrets so far... the only thing is I wish when I blocked my hotel rooms I would've reserved the hotel shuttle right away too, but now it's already booked!

Juming in to planning right away - which after we had the hall i pretty much cooled off - thats not really a regret because we are completely enjoying everything and took a good 5 mts. for our engagement party but i think that i stressed us out a bit in the start

Wow...it took me until this post to realize there is nothing I didn't do the way I wanted!

I want to be finished planning by Nov 05 so that I can enjoy the rest of my engagement and just do little DIY projects :)

Other than hire a band, but the FH really wants a DJ and I guess the positive is it's a great way to save on our budget!

I really do not have any regrets but I sometimes feel a little sad for FH. Our engagement was right before and the wedding/marriage will be on the heels of my father's passing. I am coping ok so far but from time to time I become understandably weepy. FH has really been a trooper allowig me to cry and vent whenever I want. I want this to be a happy time for us now that Dad is in peace. Dad would want that for us.

I used to think that we jumped in too soon.

But to be honest, I was done with all the major things by June 1st. And I am so happy.

I've waited for my dress and I am hoping to order that in the next few weeks.

But otherwise, I've done everything I want and now I can relax and focus on other things for the next 8 months!

I wish we weren't waiting as long as we are! But, I wanted the Carlyle and the best date for the best price there was March 18th. I wish we were married already!

I wouldn't exactly say its a regret, but for some reason I am letting what people post about the place where I got my dress get to me and now I am feeling I should have ordered from elsewhere.
I do regret not trying to negotiate the price of the dress.
