What is your color scheme for your kitchen?

What is your color scheme for your kitchen?

I'm just starting to register and I'm trying to pick everyday dishes. I picture a sage color somehow involved.

What are your color schemes? Do your dishes match? How does this coordinate with your dining room (if you have one)?

I never thought about this when picking china...and it will be pretty rare that my kitchen will match my plates...


luckily I love my casual ones and they are a neutral color

my kitchen & bathrooms are the only rooms painted neutrals because I change stuff so often. I did not register for china(I have my Grandmas) but I have several serts of casual plates & they are all so different, but my kitchen is Navajo White & my countertops & backsplash are white so everything always goes.
If I were to buy china-I would stick with something simple that will go with your taste for the next 40 years or so!!!

My kitchen has a tuscan theme- pale yellow venetian plaster walls, terricotta tile counter, a netural floor. My dishes do match, but I didn't happen to choose them that way. I bought them before we bought the house and I didn't decide on my decorating using them. It just happened to work out. I'd say, the best would be to get something neutral. Goes with all!

I picked my everyday dishes way before I bought my home and I just picked something I loved. The dishes are kind of neutral - beige and green- more of an orient theme and don't match my kitchen. My kitchen is pale yellow with green and eventually grapes - as the accent color design. My dishes don't really fit that but I never really cared or even thought if they matched or not.

My plates are kind of nuetral but my kitchen and family room are an open floor plan so I did yellow roses for the kitchen and as you go into the family room it is sage. Thought those two colors go nice together.

I have clear glass plates, glasses, etc. We didn't own a home when we registered and figured that clear glass would go with everything.. I LOVE it.

our dishes dont match our kitchen.
My kitchen is a gold/yellow color, and I have a gold/green theme going on in there.

Do your dishes have to match your kitchen or does china have to match the dining room?

We didn't have a house when we registered and I didn't get new China I have my moms and just got additional pieces (they still make the pattern 42 years later)

My everyday are white and have some kind of a yellow flower on them (I haven't used them yet since we still have not moved in) and I have no clue what color my kitchen will be when we re-do it eventually

My china is Ivory with gold trim. Simple and classic. Guess it could match any dining room.

thanks girls - I wasn't sure if everything was suppose to match....that makes life a lot easier!
