I don't go on any other web site besides this one, and now I refuse to read the rest of these responses in fear of getting addicted to a 2nd wedding website!!

I mean weddingchannel is great and everything but I could NEVER EVER EVER EVER BE addicted to it!!! I like LIW because its specific to Long Island weddings

I go on the knot once in awhile. But not in the chat rooms, just for the budget and checklist.

Besides looking at random sites for bridesmaid dresses, invites, etc...LIW is the only one I am drawn to each and every time i go online...

Before LIW, I used to go on the knot alot, but I kind of felt that it was too commercial - hard to explain. LIW is a site dedicated to those getting married in LI so its mor local and less commercialized - You will never have to deal with LIW tv that the knot has on the message board screen. It does nothing but annoy me & slow my computer down. Message boards are hard to follow, and some of the girls are snotty! LIW doesn't throw advertisements in your face like almost all other wedding websites do, and it is so much easier to get in touch with Ron & Liz (all you have to do is FM them)
Besides that, I love the brides on here. I got alot of great ideas from this site. Theres not a whole lot of drama (with the exception of yesterday) and everyone is easy to get along with.
