we are tentatively doing combo favors/placecards. we are getting clear plastic 3x3x3 boxes with top flaps, filling them with hershey hugs and kisses, and putting a label that says 'Hugs & Kisses from the new Mr. & Mrs.'
We are then wrapping them in ribbon and paper like an 06 bride did, and making them our placecards as well in fonts that match our invite, program, menus, etc. We're using the same wrapping paper, blue ribbon, and either a black or blue border.
Here are some pictures of what i anticipate them to look like (or similar at least)
~ 40 hugs/kisses fit in each box
We originally planned to do bottle stoppers but we ordered a sample and i didn't like them as much in person. this way we can integrate our colors, give something edible that people will like, and it's a little different.

we're doing two peas in a pod salt and pepper shakers. we got them on e-bay at a great price too!

We absolutely love the wine idea, but isn't it expesnive? How much per bottle?
Sorry I was away during the day but logged on & saw the question..
The wine wasn't soo bad I went to local liquor stores and asked around. I found one in particular was real helpful, they were Grapes & Grains in Greenlawn. He gave me the best deal on this particular wine, which ran high because it was a french wine & with the euro . But from them I was able to get the wine for $5.50 a bottle. I then order the labels online, customized them a bit, scraped off the old labels & stuck on my new ones. I may have ended up spending about $6.75-$7.ish a bottle with the labels.

No problem. I ordered the bottle from a local liquor store called Grapes & Grains, in Greenlawn the guy is taking over the business there so he was very accommodating to helping me order the wine. He didn't carry it but basically ordered the crates just for me. He was real nice, which was nice for a change because another liquor shop they acted like they could care less about business.
I know there is another liqour place in nassau that people speak highly of too for the prices but I can't remember the name sorry but if you ask the 08 girls I am sure someone knows what that one was called too

Aww thanks. I appreciate that. wow!!! you had some eparty... guezzzz I wish I had one like that. your wedding is going to be sooo fabulous people will be happy with whatever favor they get

Thank you so much for the info, we really do love the idea so much. I hope i can make it work, becuase most favors are so cheesy and not useful. Hopefully we can find a store like that in Cali when we go to make final plans! Where did you get the labels?
