What is your favorite HGTV show?

I'm such an HGTV junkie. I could watch that and Food Network all day!

I love Divine Design - Candice Olson is awesome. I love the stuff she comes up with.

I also love Designer's Challenge - these people are so talented! I wish I had an ounce of their creativity.

I LOVE them all.
Designers Challenge
Designing for the Sexes (Michael Paine can decorate my house anytime)
House Hunters
Divine Design

I like the concept of Designing for the Sexes but find the host sooo annoying. But I still watch :D

Design on Dime is cool.

But there is something about HouseHunters that keeps me watching even though Im not looking for a house and the markets that they film the show are nothing like mine

I love so many...and John wants to ban it...b/c I start getting upset with our place...

House Hunters

Curb Appeal
Before and After
Sensible Chic

House Hunters is my fave - I LOVE looking in houses & apartments But it drives DH crazy

Before & After facinates me - it almost always seems like it would be easier to knock the house down & start over then to go through the usually massive renovations.

CArol Duval!!

thats a good word...fascinate...

my aunt did this...but it was a historical house and she wanted to keep it that way so that she could havea plaque on her door...and they gutted almost everything...except the frame and put it back together...

they actually had a stream running through their basement...I guess thats how people got water?

I watched Restoring America today and loved it!!!! I also like the garden design shows...forget the name.

That makes perfect sense for a historical house. Would she even be able to change the exterior?

I saw one where a family renovated and added some rooms to a school house. The couple with two kids lived in this one room house with no indoor plumbing.

They added plumbing (a bathroom!), a second floor and two rooms to the side of the house for living space. It was nice that they were able to maintain the charm of the school house but added living space.

But I have seen shows where there was almost nothing recognizable about the house after they were done. It takes 8-10 months or more for these renovations.

I don't really watch anything but HGTV, TLC & Discovery(and some court TV @ night)

I love Extreme Homes-because people are so creative

design on a dime
*but my favorite for its all around cheese factor is Room by Room
The hosts are so damn corny & the style is usually too country for me, but the always have one project that the average person could actually do & their paint techniques are the best since its sponsored by BM
