I want to surprise fh with a nice meal. (He's the cook in the house).
I would love your suggestions.

You ae too sweet! I'm the world's worst cook: I make spaghetti with shrimp and spicy tomato sauce(I put a chili pepper in reg. sauce....prego!).

FH loves my shrimp florentine served over pasta.
Just sautee defrosted frozen chopped spinach in olive oil with chopped onions and some fresh garlic. Then add jarred sauce (or you can make your own), like Prego. Then add a few herbs (oregano, basil, etc.) Then add in a few raw, peeled, deveined shrimp and let it all simmer.
It's his favoriate and it takes about 10 mins to make
But don't tell him how easy it is, its our little secret.

the easiest meal i make for FH is usually fish, like tuna steak, i just season them with and little salt and lots of pepper, sear them on each side for 3-4 minutes, and serve over mixed greens tossed with salt, olive oil and lemon juice. it's so fast, so easy, and it feels decadent, because fish is usually something you order out.
another thing i make is italian sausages sliced up with peppers and canned diced tomatoes, all mixed together with rice-a-roni spanish rice mix. he loves that!

I make him ribs - just put them in the oven for like 3 hours - but he appreciates it a lot because i don't eat them - but take the time to make them for him :)
