I'm trying to get ideas OTHER that the typical flowergirl basket. Any suggestions?

I love the pail idea. It is so cute. I definitely am going to have the FG carry petals and not a basket of flowers.
When I was a child, I was FG for four weddings. The first few had the petals. Well, the fourth did not; they had an arrangement of flowers. Nobody told me that I was not supposed to throw them. So I walked down the aisle plucking the heads of the flowers off!

mine will have baskets with stationary roses around the edges as well as petals inside for them to throw.

I'm not sure if I'm having a flower girl yet, but if I do she's going to carry a pomander, kinda like this but in my colors, and prettier and made out of silk flowers so it's not heavy. (I couldn't find a better picture)

I LOVE the pomandore idea but.... A 3 year old might fore see that as a weapon!

I have 2 FGs they can't throw petals in our church. So I am using a victorian ball (pomandore) The youngest FG will be 4 1/2 at the time so My florist suggested that we use silk flowers so it isn't too heavy. I really hope she dosen't use it as a weapon!!! LOL

I saw a great idea, where the flowergirl pulls a little pink or red wagon filled with petals. I am thinking of doing that, otherwise the flower ball.

I haven't decided on what she will be carrying but since we are having a fall theme she will be throwing silk fall leaves.

Since we are doing a beach theme I found a flower girl basket that has small seashells on the basket. I added white and hunter green ribbons to it to match our colors. She will have rose petals in the basket to throw.

I stole Toni Braxton's idea and used a fabric covered small square box w/ribbon attachment. Actually sonicstef made it for me. I didn't like how cheap the baskets look.
