What is your role in your realationship?

Or better yet, what will it be after you get married?

Right now I have to say it's 50/50 and I don't see that changing after we get married. He will be handling our finances but I'll know everything that is going on. Can't really think of anything else that would be affected.

It changes depending on what's going on. We both have our strengths and weaknesses and I ying when he yangs and vice versa..

Everyday is a crapshoot!

IT really depends - we make all of the major decisions together, but I handle the finances, and the play the homemaker role while he does all the fixer up type stuff. He's very handy and I am very homey (if that's even a word!)

We joke around to our friends. I say that I wear the pants and he tells them, 'Yeah Janie wears the pants, but I tell her which ones to wear'
Whatever. lol

Everyone tells us all the time we balance each other out. I'm the work acholic and my fh is very laid back. I get him moving and he reminds me to smell the roses.

60/40 me. He is more laid back about things, and I am more anal - so it works out best most of the time (once in a while he will be dead set on something - and I know to let it be!)

Well, I always tell him I wear the pants, but really its 50/50.

I picked 60/40 him. I really can't be happy unless he is. I love to do things for him and I always try my best to make sure he's happy.

It's probably 55/45 me...I wear the pants a bit more than he does.....only when it comes to visiting family on the holidays really.......

We discuss everything and come to mutual agreements. 50/50. True partnership!

Hmmmmmmmm I'd have to say we both pretty much balance eachother out. In some instances he knows best and most instances I know best.

We're pretty much even.

Re: What is your role in your realationship?

I think it's 50/50 now, but I think it changes depending on circumstances. Like... until recently FH was working FT and in a masters program FT and I was 'just' working FT. I probably gave more.... but it balances out bc when I'm the busier one he'll do the same.

One of the best bits of advice I got after getting engaged was that throughout marriage it will rarely be 50/50, but that's okay as long as you balance each other out and are both willing to step up!

I'd say we're 50/50 tho I've never really thought about it before. We both go about making the other happy. I think we're a pretty good team, we work well together and that's only done by having an equal partnership. So I'd stick to the 50/50 thing overall.
