I just arrived home from my first 'real' session of trying on wedding gowns at Lillette's in Baldwin. I think I found THE ONE!!
Here is the thing...when I asked who the designer was, she said 'I'm not sure, it's new' I then later asked if she could let me know the designer b/c I wanted to try to find a picture to send to my mom (who lives in Illinois). She said 'I'll have to research it' It seemed as though they were trying to hide the designer. But they showed me other 'name' gowns (Maggie Sottero).
Also 1- Is it uncommon to find 'The One' after trying on 4, even if it's the 1st one?!?! and 2- Where can I find knock-off Eve of Milady designers? They said this was such.
TIA!

Re: What is your take on this?
I got my dress at lilettes. I tried on 2 other dresses and I didn't pick this dress out my aunt did and I told her that I didn't want to try it on. She told me just take it with you, I put it on and it was the dress.
Lots of places wont tell u the designer I find mine out though it was Bridal orginals. Its been said it is against the law for them to not tell you.

I think you have to go with your gut. If its the one, then go for it.

I had a similiar experience but the woman did end up telling me. If she is right about not knowing I would keep calling if you really like it. I found my dress there too. I only tried on about 4 too. Don't be discouraged, just keep on it. Good luck!!!

They don't tell you the name of the designer so you can't go somewhere else and buy it cheaper. It's a shady business practice and illegal - I bet they cut the tags out of the dres as well. Chances are, if they are hiding the name of the designer, than you can get it somewhere else. Pressure them to tell you.
