What is/was your breaking point?

what is/was it that made you say that you wanted to lose weight/be healthy?

I have a number on the scale...and I am getting very close to that number

also my jeans...a few weeks ago they weren't fitting right...and I started to freak out...

I got talked into taking a beginner adult ballet class. I thougt it would be good, lots of stretching without the whole step-aerobic type stuff I dont like. Well, the fact that I had to face myself in wall to wall mirrors wearing a leotard and tights for an hour and 1/2 was the absolute worst part, aside from the face that i couldn't even comfortably keep my leg on the bar...i had to use the lower bar! Aaack!

When my 'fat pants' that I bought in September because none of my jeans fit anymore started getting snug! Also seeing pictures of myselft made me disgusted!!

when my second set of breast, my tire started causing my buttons to pop open when I sat. It was the ugliest and most uncomfortable thing.

Those pictures will do it too, especially when you thought you was just so hot. I looked at pix taken of me in Jamaica in my bathing suit...lawdy lawdy I had rolls for days. Oh my, you could not tell me I was not cute posing for those pix. That was my breaking point. I hate rolls.

Re: What is/was your breaking point?

Being physically uncomfortable in my own skin...seeing back fat for the first time, seeing my mother naked when I had to take care of her after surgery last year and realizing we had the SAME body. Not being able to cross my legs comfortably. Having FH innocently say something about a dress I used to wear when we first met (How come you never wear that dress anymore....)

And- I saw my biological father for the first time in 8 years last September - and he is 54 years old and 300 lbs at 6'1. Put my two parents together at their respective weights now and I saw myself at age 55 or so. I mean asbsolutely no disrespect to either one of them, but both eat what they want and don't exercise. And both are on cholesterol and heart meds and my Mom smokes. I see how unhappy they both are physically and I can't have it...

After I ate a WHOLE BARREL of UTZ chocolate covered pretzels (from price club) on my own. (Oh man were they good!) They were in my desk at work, and I chowed down! Then I was just so disgusted after that. That was Jan. 10th, and now I am working out- and I am 7 lbs lighter! Yay!

When I stopped feeling attractive for my husband (who loves me regardless). I have been feeling very depressed because my fat pants are so tight I have to leave the botton open under my sweater.

Anyway I joined WW today.
