Just curious of what favors are given out in the shower. My sister asked me if there is something specific I would want, but I told her to do what she thinks is most affordable and memorable. Any ideas?

My girls gave out really large cherry blossom scented candles. There's a pic in my album fo them wrapped and all. Not a memorable favor, but everyone really loved them. There were also almond tins with mine and FHs name and wedding date on them.

My mom gave out pink umbrella's- she had the whole theme be 'Showers of love'

Since I am having a fall wedding my sister told me she bought pumpkin pie scented candles and she is attaching a recipe for pumpkin bread on it.

My bridal party did a great job with incorporating our wedding colors with everything at the shower - they even found brown and blue coasters, which were the favors.

Since my dad owned an ice cream parlor when I was growing up my sister did ice cream scoops. She put hershey kisses in the scoop and wrapped it with ivory tool and wine colored ribbon and tied a tag with a picture of FH & I on it.
We also gave out pink umbrellas as favors at the shower.
They were personalized too!
Not sure one would consider them 'affordable' though ....

My girls gave out shower gel and body lotion sets from Bath and Body Works. The cutest thing was inside each of them there was a little card with a wedding fact like what my full married name will be, etc. HTH

My shower was August 5th too!!! And pink umbrella's were our shower favor as well... weird...!!!!!

mine was a candy dish - filled with hershey's kisses, wrapped in tulle & personalized ribbon.

For my mom's shower they gave out 4 mini-votive candles that had a starfish design on top.
For FMIL's shower they gave out magnets with a picture of me and FH. It was a clear picture holder with a picture slipped in, not like a STD magnet.
Some other gifts I've received - bottle opener, measuring spoons, cookie cutters, tea ... I can't remember any others.

I am a big Burberry Girl, so my maid of honor found lil burberry(fake) sewing kits...everyone loved them so much that they took more than one(not so nice) and i had to call a few of the offenders and ask for them back,since i did not get one.....

My aunt made bags of lotions, bath salts, body sprays, etc, they had a pic of me in my communion dress

My sister (MOH) made mine up. She did shower gels, lotions, and body cream from Bath & Body works. She had a really cute saying on the favor tag too. She also gave personalized pencils with Melissa's Bridal Shower imprinted on them. They used them for the games and then got to take them home. She also made the labels for Hershey Kisses and she also made a decorated fall leaf cookies with our monogram on them. Everything looked fantastic!!!
no clue about what will be done at mine, but i was at a shower recently where we got tubs of body butter. the bm's found them at the dollar store, believe it or not, and they were really great! you would have thought it was B&BW or the body shop.
