What I've learned after 237 days of marriage

What I've learned after 237 days of marriage

DH sheds more than I do.
He has an unnatural love for the song 'We Like to Party'.
If it irritates me, he will do it without end.
Until I scream. Then he does it some more until he bursts out laughing.
He doesn't see a mess in front of him. Ever. And when he says, 'I'll clean it up,' he doesn't see that it's still a mess when he's finished his cleaning job.
It can be exciting to come home to your spouse.
I don't mind letting him drive every where because it's his way of preventing my road rage and letting me nap.
We are paralyzed with fear at the thought of something happening to the other person.
Complete and Total Acceptance = my mom making meatballs for DH and not letting my dad touch them.
My parents still can't believe that he's lived me this long and still wants to stay with me.
He wants to give me the world when all I really want is him.

Love them all - This is totally us too! If DH is home late and I can't reach him on his cell, I go into panic mode. DH is the same way.

He'd freak if he knew that I wrote this 'ode' to him even though I write about him in my journal non-stop.

We're not constantly checking in but if the weather is bad and I don't know where he is (or something to that effect)...yeah.

PS - Twinkie the Kid

Oh if all the DHs only knew all the things we wrote about them

I am in Twinkie withdrawal - they sit unloved and uneaten in my pantry. You would think DH would eat them so as to help the cause, but he is all 'I don't like cupcakes and cookies like you do' - FREAK

ETA: but I can't bring myself to throw them out. That would be wrong - in too many ways.

Me too. DH travels for work sometimes and I'm so worried about him flying or even driving in the rain. Before we got married it was no big deal, now everytime he's away from me I worry.

This one's my favorite!!

I worried about DH coming home one night when there was a bad thunderstorm. I was glad he was taking it slow on the roads but I wanted him to hurry up and get home so I could stop worrying. He's like 'I'm a big boy' (he really is, plus he's 42 y/o) but he's still my baby!!!!!

That is just about the best thing I've read in a while, Mel. You actually brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for sharing with us!

Ah yes. Mine too. Except when he's met with silence he will generally say either 'I'm the Funniest EVER' or 'You Love Me!' and I will burst out laughing.

that is so adorable! you should definitely write it down, at least in your journal...so that one day he can read it...or your grandchildren can...
