What kind of fresh flowers can I use with my half-up / half-down do?

I know I want fresh flowers in my hair, but I am a moron when it comes to the names of flowers...what flowers do you think would look good with my curly hair that will be in a half-up / half-down do?

Gardenias maybe?? I've seen that done and it's very pretty!!

Orchids I always worry about the edges turning brown by the end of the night.

I don't know what kind of flowers these are but I love the way they look. They'd definitely look beautiful with a half up do.
