my straightner of 6 years broke on me this morning. it kept turning off and then started smoking
i bought a CHI a few years back but didnt like it much so i sold it on ebay but i'm wondering if i should try it again.
What do you use and do you recommend it?

they just dont make chi's the way they used to. i have one and i'm not a big fan. it does the job but it doesn't do anything to help my hair like some of the others do.
It's really hard to find a good one these days but i heard ppl recommend the babybliss and the ghd

I use a chi, the pink one (love it) when I want my hair PIN straight... I use the instyler (as seen on tv) when I want my hair full.... but when my mother takes them to work on on vacation (like she did this week) I use my old hot tools one and burn my face! I do love my hot tools though, but I really LOVED my old flat iron one, that one died and I got the ceramic one... there's nothing on the sides and if I get to close to my face I tend to get burned, but my hair comes out good.. so I guess the burns are worth it

I use the nano blue silver by Chi--I think thats what it's called. It works really well. I just got the Keratin so now I don't even need to iron my hair. You should look into that.

I have a con air with ceramic plates and love it. I also have the con air infinity blow dryer with straightening attachment and it is like a miracle worker. I have crazy ridiculous curly hair and these have worked really well for me!

is that the healthier one? how much did it run you? i know a few people who have done it but it makes me nervous. i shoudl **** it up and do it because i have wavy hair and its REALLY thick and FULL. if i dont dry it, its like a HUGE PUFF

I love the hot tools, I've used it for years and refuse to part with it. For some reason I don't like the chi because it makes indents in my hair. I don't know if because my hair is so thick and the chi is so skinny.

I have a bioionic...darn expensive but it does not kill your hair...ghd is really good too
