are around where you can earn $50,000 - $70,000 per year .. with decent benefits???
Going back to school is not an option.
But I'm open to hearing any suggestions.

Re: What Kind of Jobs...
Well teachers can make this after a certain amount of years. I am trying to think of jobs without extra schooling..maybe LIRR, or Phone company....I dont know for sure.

what kind of background do you have? Typically at that salary you have to have at least 4 years of working experience in most fields.

What area do you work in now? I found that if I change fields, even though I now have a Master's, the entry-level salaries are less than $40,000...
ETA: My father, mother, and I all work in college administration (different colleges). Most entry-level are not in this pay range, but it gets up there within a few years (in my area--computer systems admin.-- at least).

If you go into sales with commision you can make that. Ray just started a new jib.. he has the same degree as you and only 1 year of slaes experience.. he is making is your range for BASE salary alone and there is the potential for a lot of commision.. plus other benefits like a car, computer, vacations, etc.

Nurses make that kind of money starting out..But of course that would require extra schooling. I dont know of any jobs offhand that start at that salary for entry level??

Re: What Kind of Jobs...
This is so depressing. Thanks for the thoughts. I am so sick of having to work two jobs to get by .. but I guess that will have to continue .. unless I happen to strike gold somehow.

I thought the same thing...but then realized there aren't really any benefits available!!!
Uh--how about a Suffolk or Nassau County Police Officer...they sure make a heck of a lot more than us NYPD'ers do. jk
But seriously---What about the local hospitals? They're always looking for Business Administrators. My step-dad works upstate (in Orange County) and he makes over 6 figures (with 15 years experience). My MOH/Best Friend's brother started fresh out of school working for my step-father and he made $70K his first year....so I would imagine in LI, the salaries would be adjusted accordingly.
