What kind of Music is everyone having during their Cocktail Hour?
Just wondering what types of music everyone is doing for their cocktail hour?

I don't know i am just gonna tell the DJ to play something but honestly i dont even think our guests will notice so that is why i am not paying attention to it. My CH room is HUGE, we have over 300 guests people will be walking around and talking and I know it will be REAL LOUD in there with the noise the guests will be making so that is why.

We were told by Vinny from High Voltage that the Riviera has a sound system in the CH room and we can just pop in a CD. We're making a mix of songs that our special to us that don't fit into the ceremony or reception style. Personal and a money saver!

We are asking the guitarist from the band to play since CH will be in a different room. He is soooo good!

well if we have the beach wedding that I really want, I would love to have a steel drum band play at CH. Hopefully that all works out!

There is a baby grand set up in the cocktail hour room and we have a family member and a family friend who are both classical pianists and said they would love to play. I think I will make them take turns and then maybe switch off with some classical music piped in through the sound system because I want them to be able to enjoy the cocktail hour a bit...

i originally thought we weren't going to have music during CH, but then FH really really wanted it (go figure)...so we're having the flute trio playing during our ceremony and CH...flute, violin, cello

an ecletic mix of trip hop. Esthero, Snecker Pimps, maybe some DePesch Mode, & Sade we're provioding the CD.
We're having a pianist for ceremony & a DJ for the reception & CH.
We're micro-Managing everything! The seclections for music, during the reception will also be made by us!

EXACTLY!!!! i read alot of reviews on our Dj and EVERY bride said they played EVERY song on their play list

I haven't thought about it yet...when we were there the other day, the system they have sounded like there was an orchestra in the room...so probably that.

we are having a piano player come and play the piano that's already there. we havent picked out the songs yet.

It's def a good thing to do, picking out the songs. I can't believe some people don't do this. If I had to hear horrible 80's songs, 'Let's Dance, the Last Dance', and other typical songs I'd get so angry!
