Re: What Kind of paper are you using for PROGRAMS and MENU's??

I am making our programs and will post a picture of the sample one tonight.

I am using a denim blue text cover stockas the backing. For the cover I am using a light blue vellum stock. The 4 pages in between are regular white or cream printer paper. Iam also attaching light blue sating ribbon.

The size is 5 x 7 and will be printed in a landscape orientation.

What exactly are you looking for? Maybe I can help.

Oh, no. For anything with your wedding, you should probably get it from a specialty paper store. Most places like staples are not going tro have the fancy paper you may want. I got my paper from Kates Paperies and Paper Presentation, both in Manhattan.

But, you maybe able to order the card stock from Staples.

What type of programs do you have in mind?

Im using a heavy cardstock for my programs called metallics. It a burgandy shimmery/glittery paper. I used the same paper and envelopes for my STD's, but I used a charcoal gray to go with my black & white STD magnets. For my menus, I'll be using an opaque vellum paper. I found shopping online for the paper to be most cost effective.

If you are starting from scratch in terms of paper stock and such, I strongly agree with Cubanbride and suggest tou meander over to a specialty paper store. Go when they are least crowded (read: not a weekend day) and talk to their sales staff. They know more than you could imagine -- I did mine from the Paper Source (when I was in Cali-I don't think they have a NY store) but Kate's Paperie is lovely and similar. Then you can start discount shopping on the net for paper as well.

Michael's has a nice selection too, I went to Kate's it's pricey but they have some beautiful choices
