What kind of stamps did you use for your invites?

What kind of stamps did you use for your invites?

I found beatiful stamps that I love, but they are 41c and I know there's going to be an increase! I don't know if there will be any pretty stamps out there for a while after the rate change The 1c and 2c stamps are usually ugly

How did you mail your invitations? Did you care about stamps at all?

I love the idea of custom stamps but they are so expensive

OK, the rate change is May 12.... is it crazy to send out our invites on May 12 when our RSVP date is July 17?

these are the stamps I love:

Don't obsess about the stamps.
Honestly, no one really notices what they look like.

Get the stamp that you like, the pretty floral one.
Then get the additional 1cent stamp and paste that one. Don't forget about the RSVP too.

If you mail out your invites before May 12th (that would be too early), then you would still have to put additonal postage on the RSVP, so that defies the purpose.

Don't sweat the small stuff. Concentrate your energy on the bigger and more important stuff.

I used the 58 cents plus 41 cents love stamps. I ordered them online since my postoffice was out and they actually matched my colors which was good.

I feel you on the ugly 1 cent stamps, but if you really love the flowers and don't mind having to use the extra postage ones then I would get the ones you really love. If the extra postage ones will bother you that much, then I would wait and see what comes out around May. They may have pretty Spring ones by then.

Good luck with the stamps and with your wedding!

I used the Packaged Wedding stamps the post office sells.

Just make sure you have your invited weighed before you buy the stamps.

Have you weighed your invitation, and it only cost the .41 cents? If so, I'm shocked. I would strongly encourage you to weigh your entire invitation (ALL the pieces) before purchasing your stamps. I know mine was in the 80-ish cent range, so I used whatever combination of 'relatively' attractive stamps to get me to the correct amount. I definitely would not sweat it, stamps are definitely the 'small stuff' all those books are written about!

I didn't get my invitations in yet. A friend showed me zazzos custom stamps and i realize they are expensive!! So i decided to see what the post office had and I fell in love with these stamps. I would love to use 1 or 2 of these floral stamps but I don't know how much my invite will cost yet and the increasing postage prices will complicate things since I will be mailing in the midst of that...

The stamps I used were kinda ugly. I know they were not 'wedding' stamps. I think they had the Grand Canyon on them or something like that. I seriously didn't care at all. As long as I had enough postage and the invitations got to their destination, I didn't care what the stamp looked like.

I think it would be too early to send the stamps out. I feel your pain though. The regular wedding heart stamps are purple and that is my absolute least favorite color. I am hoping when they change the rate that they will get a new wedding stamp.

We bought custom photo stamps with pictures of our pit bulls on them. It was the only way we could include them in the wedding.

I so agree with that!
