What kind of tea is used to make Thai Ice Tea?

Love this stuff, but am so tired to paying $3 a cup! I'd like to make it at home...Does anyone know what kind of tea it is? TIA!

I think you mean Chai Tea.

You can buy bags of chai tea but it really is the mixture of milk and sugar you have to get consistent in order for it to taste the same as Starbucks or wherever. It's hard to do so I buy the pre-made mixture.

Trader Joe's sells it in pre-made cartons. I haven't bought it in so long though... caffeinated and non-caffeinated... you add milk to the mix and either microwave it or heat it in a pot.

Also try a health food store if you have one near you.

Oh, you can store the unopened cartons in the pantry so you can stock up if the store isn't right near you.

No Thai Iced tea is a real thing too. Not sure if it is the same or made from Chai tea.
