What kinds of flowers are you using for your wedding?

My bo-k will prolly be lily of the valley
and my BM's bo-ks will be white french anemones.
I will have all white tulips on the tables.
Boutineers will hopefully also be french anemonies.

MY BO-K=peonies
BM's = antique hydrangea / sophie roses
BOUTS = roses
CP's = Hawaian orchids (pic in album)

Are black magic roses the really deep red ones? I have heard of them but am not sure I know what the color is.


Yes - there are 2 kinds like that. Black magic and baccara which aren't quite as dark.

Yes they are the deep red ones...they are so beautiful.....love them!

My color theme is burgundy/wine.....so thats why I chose the deeper red roses.

My bouquet - vendela roses and white mini callas
MOH's/BM's bouquets - black baccara roses
FH's bout - mini white calla
GM bouts - black baccara roses
CP's - cherry love and black magic roses

well, a few stephanotis in mine, and orchids for the corsages/boutonnieres for mom, FMIL, dad and FFIL.

my bo-k: white peonies & dark pink sweetheart roses
bm bo-k: mix of dark pink roses and peonies, w/ some kind of green (i don't remember)
CP: tall vase w/ submerged cymbidium orchids, mix of white w/ pink, green, and pink w/ dark pink.
bouts: not sure yet, possibly roses, maybe orchid.

I DIY'd them.

Here is my bouquet:


I used cream tulips, mini light green hydraneas and black satin ribbon with ivory bouquet pins. All of the BM bouquets were a mini version of mine.

For our centerpieces, we used:

- tulips
- gladiolas
- curly willow
- bear grass

We had a sweetheart table and our centerpiece was made of tulips and mini green hydraneas.

BQs all had green orchids with a burgundy center, evergreen roses, and burgundy calla lilies
Boutineers were the green orchids with burgundy center.

ours is an ivory and celadon green combo:

my bo-k will be white peonies (possibly with a touch of green)

The centerpieces and BM bo-ks are ivory roses, lady's mantle (a lacy green flower), green hydrangea, and white lisanthus.

the boutenieres and corsages will be ivory roses and lady's mantle

the (low) centerpieces will be ivory roses, white snapdragons, lady's mantle , green hydrangea, and white lisanthus in antique steel buckets.

I really am having a bit of trouble with this. FH and I are going to Hawaii in a week. We are going to check out the 'local' flowers. I want blues/ purples (periwinkle) I was leaning towards hydrangeas but I have heard mixed things about them dying. What have you girls heard? I am worried about the heat and them dying. The reception is inside but the ceremony will be outside. Any other ideas for blueish purple flowers , its my fav. color

I'm obsessed with peonies so I'm definately having those for my boq and the bm's will have callas either orange (fire?) or pinkish, Mine will be white
High centerpeices with callas up top and white orchids in the glass vase underneath.

tulips, gerbera daisies, roses, maybe hydrangea. i absolutley love peonies but their availibilty is kind of sketchy around my date, so its not a guarantee.

mine- 30 pink, ivory, wht roses. I forget the names but I will post pics after
MOH the same as mine but smaller
Joe- Wht rose
Art- Pink Rose
mom's and dad's- ivory roses, but my mom's coursage will be a gardenia. It's her fav flower

Like I said earlier i'll post pics after the wedding and
