ETA: I wanted to have an elbow length and blusher for the wedding, and wear my elbow length veil for the reception,but I didn't know if anyone else was wearing theirs during the reception.. I have a strapless dress, and the dress looks 50 times better with the veil on.. lol.. Do brides usually do this???

Hey.. I think most brides usually take it off, but I was in the same situation as you.. I thought my dress looked so much better with a veil on. The only problem I had was from dancing I started to get really hot and had to take it off. The pictures I took in the beginning of the night (with the veil on) looked so much better. I wish I left it on for the entire night.

I have an elbow length blusher over a cathedral length full train veil. I am not certain if I will wear either during the reception, but I put them on separate combs, just in case!
I will definately wear the blusher for the first dance & toast & all the beginning stuff (when the pics are taken!)

I wore three that day....Blusher, Fingertip & Cathedral.....it was a pain while taking pics, but you got used to it and it was so worth it for pics....I actually decided to have the cathedral veil as I got closer to the wedding because it looked so nice in pics.....the photographer gets so creatice with them. I took the Cathedral Veil off at the cocktail hour.

I am having a cathedral length and blusher. I am wearing the cathedral for the church and first dance and then taking it off and keeping the blusher on the entire night. I am a big fan of keeping the veil on the entire night--I can only have an excuse to wear it this once and I want everyone to know it!!LOL

Silibonz, I see from the little photo that you had the veil below your 'bun' in the back. Do you have any pther pictures posted. I would like to see how the blusher looked coming up over your face. Did it come up over the bun? The saleswoman suggested putting the cathedral and fingertip below the bun and the blusher on another comb in front of it. Then when it gets flipped back the bun is hidden.

I wore a fingertip veil that had a few layers. The top layer was my 'blusher' and I kept it on for the entire night.

I had the 2 tiered veil (w blusher) and wore it the whole night (I had a strapless gown as well)
