What LIW members did you know or have a friendship with before joining LIW's?

.. but my DH did know DjPill from various car websites/forums they both belong to and had met at a few car GTGs..when I first started dating DH I also had met Rich at a car GTG, but I totally did not remember him

Flee, what is a car GTG? Sort of like a cruise night? I'm thinking of putting my wheels back on the road and taking Amber this summer to a few.

The one GTG I went to was for Dodge Intrepid enthusiasts.. DH Used to have an Intrepid, Rich did also until recently... they kinda just hang out, show off their cars, talk cars.. ..etc. Stuff that I dont myself have much interest in but its a huge thing amongst that crowd!

DjPill can probably explain better.. they have so many diff. sites that sort of plan GTGs in a big group, they do these huge GTGS in the summer where they BBQ and do go-carting, lots of fun from what i hear (lots of drinking involved too)

When Anthony had his Jeep Liberty , he was on that forum board and they did all sorts of off roading GTGs and things like that.. now that we have a Grand Cherokee I'm sure I'll be getting suckered into that stuff also

The car crowd is fun , though- their GTGs are a lot more interactive than what we ladies do, generally doing lunch , etc.

I went to junior high school with BMDsPeanut.....we were close back then. We lost touch and met back up here!

Lbf404, PrincessRose and I all went to college together..our DHs were roomies!!

RedRoses, who doesn't post very often, is a very close friend of mine.

One of DH's oldest friend's FW just joined, but she only has a few posts so far...her screenname is otherme.

I went to HS with DCSAAB06.
We didn't know each other very well, but I recognized her when I she posted pictures from Jen110704's wedding, but I didn't know her in HS. ( she was a year ahead of us)

I think I may know CPAPPAS too, but she doesn't post much, so I never asked her.

lvsdolphins. I known her for a very long time lets say forever. she is my bestfriend and also like a sister to me and i am soo glad to know her luv ya girl. and she introduced me to this site also so Thanks to her I met alot of sweet and friendly people on here and I cant wait to meet you all someday in person!

I was on here as SusieQ like forever and a half ago. When my BF (bxgell2) got engaged, I told her about this site and then I came back on as matron (bc she asked me to be her MOH.) I post more now than I ever did when I was planning my wedding. But this site was WAY different then. LIW has come a looooooooong way since 2001!
