What metal bakeware do you use?

I registered for and didn't receive an expensive set of Chicago Metallic Bakeware, so now I am wondering if I should buy it or look for something cheaper

What are your thoughts of Pyrex? Kitchen-Aid? Calphalon? Wilton? Any other suggestions?

any more thoughts of bakeware? Should I splurge and buy the Chicago Metallic or will it be a waste of money?

I think that's what I registered for. There were 2 different kinds, I should check & see which one I registered for.

I haven't gotten yit et, so I don't know if its worth it.

ETA- you had your shower already, right? You don't think you'd get the bakeware as a wedding present?

i don't know anything about what you specifically mentioned, but i do know from experience that with bakeware (as with lots of stuff) you get what you pay for.

I don't think anyone will get that as a wedding present. I registered for it at Fortunoff and no one really went there to buy stuff

I have a mish-mosh of stuff, metal that I've had for years, pyrex, etc. My favorite are some oversized non-stick cookie sheets.

Chicago Metallic is very good for baking, cookies, cakes, etc. I work in the commercial baking industry and they are one of the leading names. In fact, I think they are primarily commercial baking suppliers, but also have a home division.

You can't go wrong with their products, and for baking you want a good quality. If it is thin and heats unevenly your baked goods won't bake properly.

Hmm, maybe I will get a 5-piece inexpensive set to start and then use my 10% off completion coupon to buy the Chicago Metallic off my registry. One of my coworkers recommended them and she is an awesome baker, so I wanted to try them. Maybe I should!!
