I had my last period on September 25, 2004. My Due Date is July 2, 2005. Tomorrow I will be 21 weeks. Am I in my 4th or 5th month of pregnancy. I am so confused. Also, if I am in my 5th, when did I start my 5th?
Any help would be so much appreciated!

I know - it is SO confusing because of the 10 months being pregnant. The way I was figuring was that if 20 weeks is the half way point, that must make you 4 1/2 months pregnant (since everyone else counts pregnany as nine months). I am due the day before you and I keep telling people I'm 'almost five months'.

I thought that once you hit 20 wks you were 5 months preggo and anything after that you were in your 6th month until 24 weeks, thats what it says in what to expect I think

I always worked back from the due date -- so with 19 weeks to go, I'd say you were in your fourth month. When talking months people are asking how much time is left, not how much has passed.

I think it's the opposite...people want to know how far along you are...

In what to expect when you are expecting, the break down is 18-22 weeks 5th month 23- 27 weeks is the 6th month... So not only are you in the 5th month, but your about to start your 6th!
ETA - this is what I went by and when I turned 5 months people kept telling me I wasnt... Its because your due date is not when your 9th month begins... it is when it ENDS, so you are technically 10 months pregnant if you give birth on or after your due date. Hope that helps!

I'm due 7-5-05 and I count myself as being 4 1/2 months pregnant even though WTEWYE says it's the 5th month. I'm not trying to be telling people in June that I'm 9 1/2 months pregnant!
The way I choose to see it is, I'll be exactly 9 months on my due date, so I count the month backwards from there.

I've found that people interested in how far along you are understand the weeks measurement. I'm in week 34 and boy am I sick of people saying 'why haven't you had the baby yet' even with the fact that I've been understating the months all along. hehe
Here's the easiest answer -- Tell them your due date instead of a month!

really? God, I thought I was in my 3rd month still, but it turns out I'm two weeks away from being in my 5th month. I'm SO confused
