What songs/music is tyipically played, and what do you plan on doing?
We are having a pianist/singer and upright bass, live music during the cocktail hour. He will be singing jazzy , light music. If your DJ is doing the CH for you they probably have CD's premade w/ jazzy cocktail hour music.

We booked Carl with Absolute as the CH guitarist/vocalist. He'll be doing things like Jimmy Buffett songs and the like.

We are going to do either jazzy type music or Frank Sinatra- rat pack music.

Every wedding i have been to is very jazzy.... but we are doing very nontraditional....we are having slow songs form Radiohead, Tool, My Morning Jacket and a bunch of other bands played.... so really you can do what you want!

We're having a DJ and I want them to play Jack Johnson and some of the slower John Mayer songs for my cocktail hour... I <3 them!

I am going to go with Rat Pack type music as well, plus some other classic Jazz like Coltrane, etc.

OK, so its cool to do something different! FH and I are huuuuuuuuuge country fans and we wanted a lot of our favorite slower country songs played. There's going to be a little bit of country played throughout the reception as well, but we really wanted to incorporate it into CH.

Same here... we both have Italian families who love sinatra... we want to put some Billy Joel in there too
