what next????

ok girls...so i picked the hall and the date

next i am doing the church.....

and then i would like to get started on the photog and dj's....with the next step...can i find out more info on these through phone calls...do i have to make appointments??? how does this vendor work??? i mean there are so many choices out there I don't want to go through 25 appts of each (i did enough with the halls) but i want to get enough info and always like to look at all my choices

how did you girls go about this???? what do i do next????

you wont really get prices over the phone...They'll just say depends on so many things so can't give an exact price, which is true.

Well first look at what are the house vendors for your RH, see if you like them bc they do eat for free and you don't have to pay for them. Also, just whoever catches your eye and you love their work, for photography i mean...See who suits your style and also who is within your budget

1st - Hi Chrissy!!

2nd - I am in the process of booking photog right now - and I was just like you with the hall search. I needed to see everything out there in order to comparison shop. With photogs, I'm looking at two and only two - based on friends' experiences and LIW brides' experiences. I will book on Saturday. Same with DJ, looking at max 3, based on friends and LIW. That's it. Don't let yourself get cuckoo with it. If you end up not liking them then go look at more. FM me if you want to know who I'm looking at - I'll tell you my budget too so you can see if we're in the same ballpark (or considering the season - same football stadium).

Florist is a different story. I may look at like 5 or 6. ONLY because Alfonse said I could have free range with that. Meaning, I'm on my own. So I could make 4 appts a night if I wanted.

I have been on Vendors helping Brides section and some of the vendors FM you there price lists.

I also try and book many appointments through email also. It is more direct. I am trying to just visit 4 photographers....I hope that that is enough.

Anyway you find that works please share it with me, Im just starting out also!

Oh also I went through the list of vendors from my RH and also through this site. I viewed their work online and weeded out the options that I didnt like.
I am now trying to make the appointments with my top 4 (the ones I mentioned above).
