What NON tear-jerker films make you cry?

I don't watch chick flicks and the oddest things trigger big reactions from me - I watched 'Cinema Paradiso' (an Italian film - coming of age/not quite love story) last night and cried nearly the entire time (even through the funny/sweet parts). 'Life is Beautiful' is another one that leaves me practically devastated; I cannot stop crying.

Please tell me what yours are so I feel like less of a freak

Any of those stupid action/super hero movies (Superman, Spiderman, Hulk) - and I'll explain why: All of these superheroes were once little boys, of which I have 3 of my own. All of these superheroes had horrible, awful, traumatic events happen to them in their youth. All of these movies seem to feel the need to reenact those traumatic events and show little boys going through such pain! When I see this, I think of my own boys and that's what makes me cry!

once while watching sleepless in seattle for like the millionth time (my all time favorite movie) i was bawling like crazy when they get together at the end....NOT over the dying mom in the beginning, not the kid and dad missing her....over the happy part....it was right after FH and I got engaged...and i think it made me realize how accidental things can be. accidental reminds me that i also cry at serendipity as well!!! hmm...FH is out for the night with his pals, i should watch one of these!!!

I'm a weirdo -

I cried for the last 45 minutes of My Dog Skip. Yesterday I caught the end of ET, DH came downstairs and found me sobbing on the couch. Father of the Bride makes me cry too.

Life is Beautiful is one of my favorite movies. Such a beautiful movie.

Okay, call me nutso but 'Peggy Sue Got Married' kills me. When she goes back to the 50's and answers the phone when her Grandmother calls - oh my Makes me think of my own Grandmother and how much I miss her so

My Dog Skip even had FH crying!! Anytime I see it I cry. Father of the Bride does it for me too - I am very emotional - so I cry happy tears and sad tears.

Isn't that movie famous for making people cry?

I cry when I watch everything - I am such a movie baby. I cried when Mufasa died in the Lion King, I cried when Frosty melted in Frosty the Snowman () - pretty much any movie that is really cute, sappy or sad, I will be crying. Yesterday I started crying when that chase commercial was on (where the couple is getting older through the commercial).

Yeah, I did that the first time I saw it.

Oh man. In Dances With Wolves, when John Dunbar and the Indians become friends instead of enemies, I totally lose it. There's a scene where Kicking Bird brings Dunbar fur skins to keep him warm, which wrecks me by itself, but then Dunbar waves to the rest of the Indians waiting up on the hill and they wave back.

I'm a sucker for when people lay down their hatred for one another.

I'll pass on that; I'm not one to put on movies just to make myself cry. Life's too short.
