We're getting married in 6 days and still trying to figure this out. My song has been picked for months by FH adn BP- just decided last night. By your side by Sade.

Sorry- my brain is so fried I misread post. We are walking into the reception to the fast version of the Hebrew song I am walking down the aisle to.

Re: What on earth...

What kind of music do you like? What kind of entrance do you want?

We wanted a song that started the party in light fun way. Nothing too modern but still upbeat and fun. We did Disco Inferno for the bridal party (kind of a joke song between my brothers and DH) and we walked into Love is in the Air. I liked both!

we did 'Are You Ready (for this thing called love)' by john hiatt, but Bonnie Raitt did a version of it.....

Our BP came into wrestling theme music picked by DH

Re: What on earth...

IMO, you can go a little crazy with your entrance song, -- its the one part of the wedding where you don't have to do 'the norm' (if ya know what I mean...) You don't have to play it safe, so to speak

My DH loves HARD ROCK ONLY but we couldn't play any at the recept , for obvious reasons... so we walked into Welcome to the Jungle by GnR, just because it was a little 'out there' and one of Dh's favorite bands ever

So you can go mellow, or loud, or hard rock - just pick a tune by a band or artist that you love and have them play that for you as you are introduced..

OR if there is some interest you and FH have , a theme song from a movie or show, etc.. something instrumental, etc.. well anything goes when it comes to the BP and your and 'DH''s intro!

I'm thinking, I'm thinking...We briefly considered the 'Charlie Brown'theme...(You know it...) or the 'Meet The Mets' theme...

BUt...changed our minds...I wanted to do the song they play for the Great Adventure commericals, but our friends used that...

Re: What on earth...

Peanut - why not play something by 'U2' since that is your favorite band (right?)

We went to a wedding and the bride & groom were introduced to 'Beautiful Day'.. we thought it was an excellent choice . U2 has so many great tunes to choose from.

I know another couple were intro'd to 'Elevation'

Just some more suggestions

Peanut!

Check out u2's version of Everlasting Love on the Greatest Hits/B Sides album. It's awesome.

I am considering it, but don't think it's quite as crazy as we would like. I think FH wants Enter Sandman or welcome to the Jungle. Die hard metal fans well...they Die hard.

Go through your CD collection and pull out things you have not listened to in awhile that you used to really play to death...there will be something on there.

Don't forget to tell what you ended up picking!!

We all walked into 1 song which was U2's 'Beautiful Day' It was really upbeat with a live band.

Re: What on earth...

We are 100% doing Beautiful Day since U2 is my favorite band. But I love the idea of walking in to the Charlie Brown theme--now I've got it in my head along with my stint as Sally in our school play of Charlie Brown Xmas--'All I want is my fair share!'
