What part of i need a quote dont the vendors understand????????
This isnt the first time i had posted on the vendors helping brides board....i specifically asked for shuttle quotes because i do not wanna call someone and waste my time and theirs if the price is too high....i wrote all that out in my post..........
ALL MY FMS EXCEPT ONE ASKED ME TO CALL THE OFFICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Apparently these vendors dont actually read the posts!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that annoys me!

Yes, I had the same issue, I believe it is the QUOTE part that confused them. Perhaps a definition attached to the request is in order?

it was............ i wrote ' quotes only please i do not want to call the office just to find out i can not afford it' thats why i am annoyed lol

omg that is sooo annoying. It has happened to me so many times. Even emailing back and forth some of them wont give me quotes. I just say screw it and use someone who was willing to give me a quote through email. I don't have all day to be on the phone with these guys that have nothing better to do then give me a sales lecture.

exactly and i just think it would be a waste of both of our time for me to call jjst to find out they want 2K for 2 hours of their time!!!!!!!!!! lol

I totally hear that.... when booking limos I actually called like 10 companies. Asked for the same exact thing with every company. After getting 1 really expensive quote the guy asked me what time I wanted to come down to see the limos. I told him I had gotten about 9 much cheaper quotes so I wasn't interested in seeing his limos. He kept me on the phone forever trying to tell me I get what I pay for and so on... total waste of my time. After that I stopped calling all vendors and started emailing instead.

exactly! lol at this point i say screw the shuttle lol i just needed soemthing to get a few guests to and from the hotel and RH so they didnt have to drive lol ah well!

Then don't deal with them. I seem to find the same issue when I ask a question and people respond that they never heard of the thing I'm asking about

lol yeah i just needed to vent its really annoying! its not the first time either...i have posted things on their before with the same wording and get a bunch of FMS with no quotes lol

I hate that too! It's such BS, I don't have time for that, I just completely ignore those vendors

I hear ya...I asked for quotes for 2 things, and most gave me a very standard spiel and told me to call them.
I restrained myself from FMing them back with: 'IF I WANTED TO CALL YOU, I WOULD HAVE!!!'

I had the same problem - one 2 of about 6-7 vendors actually provided quotes!

I had a lot of that too when I was booking vendors. If it was someone I was really interested in using I'd call them, otherwise I wouldnt bother. I dont know what the big deal is, I'd rather have it in writing so there is no confusion later on.

Heather what about calling your limo company and asking them? Ask them prices for a large van instead of a limo

I was told by a vendor I love that she will no longer send quotes via LIW forum because she can't make the same quote for everyone and people are quoting for her.
