What percentage of your budget did your dress cost

What percentage did your dress cost as part of the whole budget or estimated budget

I never included my dress in our budget..
But then again our 'budget' went out the window fast
I spent more on my dress then i wanted..
but i love it

My mom paid for the dress so it wasn't in my budget... but she got lucky I fell in love with an inexpensive dress. I just calculated it and the dress was 3% of the total.

Mine wasn't in my budget either but if it were to be, it would have been 2.4%.

My dress was not included in my overall budget, but if it was-- it would be about 5% of my total budget.

The reason i posted is because that i like a $600 dress by Mary's and a $7600 from Ines Di Santo - i have a very large budget and i am afraid my dress will look cheap if i pick the mary's dress- both dresses look great on me

but of course the Ines di Santo has better fabric and beading

i have never been a person for designer things just good quality

Is it ok to spend less than 1% of my budget on my dress?

I didn't include my dress in my overall budget, but it was way more than I had planned on spending.

As a percentage of what I think the total will wind up being - it's about 6%

buy the dress you love....
i would not try and figure it in your budget
one has nothing to do with the other

I was in a similar sitch--- not that extreme- deciding between a 5900 dress, and a 3500.. in the end, I thought 5900 was WAY too much money-- and I picked a totally different dress for 4400.. and I am much happier than I would have been with either of them.. Can you keep looking??? I know what you mean about wanting your dress to feel glamourous and luxurious.. Decide based on what makes you feel the most special. You do not want to even spend a second on your wedding day thinking that you should have been wearing another dress..

Weddings make you buy things when thinking rationally- you never would..

My dress costed less than the price of how much my invitations and favors were altogether. I went to the stores where the dresses can be expensive, and I liked nothing there. I only liked the one I got from David's, and I tried it on the other day when I got my corset, and I'm so happy with it!

I'm not good at math and its early on a monday so i'm not going to even attempt to figure it out.
Mine was about the same as what I'm goign to pay for favors and invites also.
