what phone co do you use?

We have verizon but I dislike them a lot. I have been trying to get them to come out and fix my phone since last Monday!!!! I cant get any incoming calls or out going. I am so fustrated with them.

So I want to change. Who do you recommend (sp)?

Unless you're looking for cell phone service you're stuck with Verizon one way or another. They own the phone lines, and AT&T is at their mercy for hook-ups, repairs, etc.

When we moved into our house it took 4 weeks to get our phone service hooked up. AT&T had to contact Verizon to hook up the outside service and they kept sending people, said it was hooked up, and no dial tone. Every time we called (from our cell phone) to tell them we had no dial tone all AT&T could tell us is that they would book another appointment and the next available one was the following Wednesday (I think that's the only day Verizon services AT&T) It took 5 technician visits and 4 weeks for us to get a dial tone. We lost it in the fall and they told us it could be 2 weeks before it was back up, but we did get it back the following day.

Bottom line is, Verizon service is lousy and switching to another service doesn't help much, but at least it gives them less money! AT&T had a better plan - all of Nassau, Suffolk, NYC & Westchester for one rate. Verizon wanted to charge more and we'd have a toll call to phone from Sayville out to family in Patchogue!
