Ok, I might get a little annoying as I'm going to post each thing seperately, but I just don't want to get confused, so this one is about PHOTOGs and VIDEOGs...
What photog are you using and why? What do you get in your contract? approx how much is it costing? $= Under $1999.00 $$= $2000.00-$4999.00 $$$= $5000.00-$7999.00 $$$$= $8000.00-9999.00
edit- sorry I used the same table for each topic

Re: What photg/videog and why?
I'm using Proline for both photo and video. I'm paying under $5500 for both. The owner grew up around the block from me and went to school with my sister, so I'm very comfortable with them. I also have a good friend who used them a few years ago and was very happy. FM me if you want more info.
ETA: I didn't really look at the prices you posted. The prices in your high range there are some of the less expensive options for photo ALONE. I would expect to pay more than $2K minimum for both.

I am using Thomas Paul for both, I absolutely love his photo work that I have seen on this site and also that he showed me when I met with him. He is a very down to earth person and I am very comfortable and confident with him.

Re: What photg/videog and why?
I chose to go with a local photographer in Brooklyn.
Why: Because he does some great editing work and I liked what he had to show us. You can tell he loves his job and he will do everything he can to make sure you get the best photo's of your wedding.
Contract: We gave him our budget and he gave us everything we wanted. ~Engagement session (with all the proofs) ~All day coverage. (1 photog and 1 assistant) -22 premium prints -450 4x6 proof prints -125 thank you cards -1 flush mount album for ourselves -2 parent albums -negatives of all photo's taken (high resolution and standard resolution) -Online proofing ~Video coverage starting when I arrive at the church -wireless mic on FH so everything is heard on the video -honeymoon montage -lifetime montage -guest interviews -3 dvd's
How much: $5500

I am using Thomas Paul (Photo). Based on his work alone, I love his style - its very creative & unique. The reviews on him are excellent. When we met with him, we loved him even more. I think its very important to feel comfortable with your photographer and also like his/her personality too. He is so nice, down to earth, we both really felt very comfortable with him and really liked him a lot as a person. Mostly, we loved his work - very talented.
As per video - still researching.

I just became even more excited after reading your post! He is my favorite vendor, I cant say eniugh about him! We have our E-pics scheduled for July at Sunken Meadow Park - very excited. Happy to hear about the video too - thank you! I would love to hear some feedback for those that received their video back. I haven't heard any reviews on the video. Although, if they are working with Thomas Paul - I am sure they are great!

Re: What photg/videog and why?
I am using Photography In Style and my package falls in this category $$$, for photography and video. If you got the standard package it would fall under $ category.
I am using John because his style is less traditional and he has lots of creative and fun ideas that will make my album timeless as well as fun to look at. He also has a great personality!

Re: What photg/videog and why?
What photog are you using and why- I am booked with 12th night. I booked with them because of what I am getting in a basic package, the work produced, and the fact that Dom answered my questions and made me and my mom feel really comfy. My photographer is Mike
What do you get in your contract- 10 hours of coverage, printed unmarked proofs, thank you card design, pics on a hi res CD.
approx how much is it costing- FOR MY package- $= Under $1999.00
Halo video- coverage for both the ceremony and RH. my package is about $950
