i responded to your post on BHB, but I definitely recommend checking out Big Daddy's in Massapquea Park. It's souther/cajun food, and the drink specials are fantastic. They also have live music almost every night (i think but i know for sure on the weekends)

If you like Greek food, Opa Grille in Bethpage is one of our favorites.
