I really hate to be mean, and have to say this, but my mother is obviously in another world. She has NO CLUE about wedding stuff, how much its supposed to cost, etc, etc...
Every time we tell her how much our vendors cost or antyhing!-she tells me 'omg, its so much money, i worry bout u'..... its like, its 2006, not 1976 when u got married-and ur parents payed for anything, we are paying for everything ourselves, so dont worry!!!!!!!!

FMIL is like that! Not so much with money but with like traditions and how things were done then vs now...

FMIL is like that! Not so much with money but with like traditions and how things were done then vs now...
It's so weird! FMIL is still on kids at wedding, but thats not goin to happen

my dad said the same thing......they are oblivious. and fmil likes to tell me how much her wedding costs every chance she gets......her parents paid for it all

My mom freaked out a few times about how much we were spending, and FH and I are paying for the whole thing ourselves!! I finally just stopped telling her how much things cost. No more headaches!
