What post offices in NYC (or Bronx if anyone knows) can I go to apply for a new passport in my married name?

I think any post office will do it. I was going to suggest the Passport office on Hudson Street but it can get pretty nuts there. I'd go to your local PO when it opens.

OR, you can go to the central PO on 8th avenue and about 32nd street. I think they open at 8AM.

I know that not every PO does it because my neighborhood one does not. Or at least doesn't have all the forms.

Thanks

i would think any of the larger ones would...i believe you could also just download the form ahead of time too from the internet and bring it with you!

If you already have a valid passport, I'm pretty sure you have to mail it in. Here's the info...

There is NO other way to change the name except to send in the original Marriage Certificate?

I really don't feel comfortable doing this....

I applied for my original pasport at the post office on 18th street bewtween 7th & 8th.

They had forms, but I dowloaded mine & filled them otu at work.

I had to send in my original birth certificate. Its a little scary, but I believe it will come back. I hope so, I need it for my marriage license.

I know you need your origial marriage license for other things sometimes, so make sure you don't need it first before you send it away for 6 weeks.
