what price range should my blocked hotel rooms be in?
Having taken the advice of others on the board and contacting the LI Tourism Bureau, I now how a bunch of quotes for blocked rooms in my area. The prices ranges are all over the place, though!
What price range should they be in??
The one I think I like the best is around $149 per night plus tax.
Does this sound about right?

I've heard of prices anywhere between $109 and $159 for blocked rooms.

Mine is $139 including van transportation and complimentary continental breakfast.

Including transportation?! Wow, that's great.
I dunno. I feel like this is a little more than I want to ask my OOT guests to spend... I think I'll keep looking around and just see what else is out there.
We will of course provide them with information on other hotels in the area... but we were considering hiring a shuttle for guests (which we could only do at one hotel, I think).

I don't know if it's close to your hall or not, but I blocked off rooms at the Executive Inn, Woodbury for $109 a night. Includes a free shuttle, and complimentary bkfast. You should check them out.

The Holiday Inn in Westbury gave us a rate of $139.00. We dont need a shuttle since our RH is literally right across the parking lot

Wow, those are great rates.
My RH is in Glen Cove... and the church is in West Hempstead... That's the problem - one is on the N. shore and one on the south...

Wingate Inn in Garden City will pay for 1 round trip? or one way if I book a certain number of rooms ---I forgot the exact number. Nothing fancy, van transporation but it's available to my guests!
