what type of film is being used, how many proofs will you get, are there specific packages to order from, how many hours will they be there for, are engagement pics included, how do the payments work, etc...

During my search for a photographer, I found that most will work 8 hours and work with an assistant, but you definitely want to double-ckeck this. You should also ask about types of packages available, number of proofs you will get, when the proofs will be ready, ratio of color to black and white film (if you are interested - some photographers have a limit of black and white film), size of prints offered, costs of additional prints and in various sizes (ie. 8x10, 5x7, etc.), album styles and colors available, how soon will the album be ready, deposit required and payment plan, cancellation policy, and most importantly, which photographer will be working at your wedding.

make absolutely sure you MEET the photographer in person before you sign any contract - even if you see and like his work. Having a photographer with a terrible personality who is rude to you and your guests, will ruin your day believe me - no matter how good his work is!
