What Questions should I ask...

What Questions should I ask...

When I go to my RH to do my menu, cake, linens and all that good stuff??? We are going on May 15. I already wrote down a few things, about kids meals, about menus, how they will display our favors, etc. Anything else we should be asking? I am drawing a blank! TIA!

I have this same question...we're meeting with the RH tomorrow.

I don't even know what to ask. We're brainstorming with my parents tonight, so if I think of anything, I'll let you know.

I'll have to keep an eye on this thread. We are going for our tasting on May 11.

vegetarian options? when to tell them about other dietary restrictions? when they want you to drop things off?

Re: What Questions should I ask...

Good, I am glad I asked then, if a lot of us need the answers LOL!

I also want to ask them about the entrees and if they can provide descriptions of them. The menu we have doesn't say what anything is, and when I make the menus, I want to write a little something so the guests know what it is.

We also get our choice of 4 entrees, and originally I was going to do 1 beef, 1 chicken, 1 fish, and 1 veggie. But I want to ask them if I DON'T choose the veggie option and a guest requests it, can it be provided for them without any problem?

hmmm...what would you put as your 4th entre if you don't do the veggie? Lots of people are eating healthy these days and want the veggie option...i personally wouldn't get rid of it.

I know, you're right, and I am probably just gonna do it anyway. But, our hall usually offers a choice of only 3 entrees - we are only getting a choice of 4 b/c they know my brother LOL. I wonder what people choose if they only get a choice of 3?

Re: What Questions should I ask...

Here is a list of questions I asked, edited for relevance:

Decorations on cocktal tables?
Do they provide early breakfast for getting ready?
Do they provide menus?
How many pictures can be displayed.
How do they hand out programs?
Table number cards-size?
Do they provide babysitter?
how early can we get in?
Who will keep track of my stuff at that day?
Timeline of the day
Do they provide steamer for dress and veil?
Processional, how does it work?
What time do we need to be out? Cost if go over?
Who is to be tipped?
Who is responsible for vendors insurance
Are candles Ok?
when do we drop stuff off?
how are the tables arranged?

hope this helps

well all the questions are real good. Most importantly, when you drop stuff off, make a list of everything you are leaving with clear directions. Make sure you get a copy. Also get a copy of the current seating chart and floor plan as it can change last minute. Ours changed two days before
