I thought this might be a fun thread where we could share some laughs!
I have 2 cats, the younger one seems to think that he is a dog sometimes..
He plays fetch! He will bring me a toy, drop it at my feet, and meow at me until I throw it for him. This game can go on and on!
He chases his tail! This one is SO hysterical to watch!! He will catch a glimpse of his tail moving and his eyes will widen...then he turns in circles trying to catch it. Sometimes, he will try to catch it when he's on the stairs, and will literally tumble down a few steps at a time in an attempt to get it! Another common location for this is when he is sitting in a corner of a room, see his tail, and does tumblesaults in place in a furious attempt to catch it! We have tried sooo many times to get this on video, but of course, as soon as we get it, he stops!

Re: What Quirky/Weird Things Do Your Pets Do?
My cat steals Q-tips and my ponytail holders and places them in his food dish We have no idea why but every single day he finds these 2 items and they end up in his food dish.

My now long gone kitty used to play soccer in the house. If we took a piece of paper and crumpled it up, the second he heard that sound, he came running. We would throw it and he would jump in the air to try to catch it and bat it around the house. Once in a while, he'd bring it back to us so we could throw it again, but mostly, he just loved to kick it around the house. And if you were eating spaghetti around him and let any of it dangle out of your mouth as you were trying to slurp it up, he'd bat at it or try to eat it from the other end (he sat on my chair with my every night for dinner), or if I'd lift my arm to bring the fork to my mouth, he'd stick his paw under my arm and try to grab the fork to feed himself.
I miss my kitty!

OMG Stacey! I can't believe your cat does that with pony tail holders! I thought my cat was the only one! We call them his babies, like he's trying to feed them or something! Hahahaha. One of my cats is convinced that he can talk. So when you ask him a question, he meows back a sentence. I SWEAR it sounds like he's talking! Another one only likes to sleep in the sink. And one of them likes to hug you. If you're laying down, he'll sit on your chest and wrap his paws around your neck. He even tries to do it if you are sitting up, too. It's very cute, but then he tries to lick your face and it's not so cute anymore!

Ooo, did you ever see what happens when you stick a piece of tape to the bottom of the back foot on a cat? It's WORTH trying! Call me mean, but it's sooooo funny. Just a 2 or 3 inch piece of scotch tape, too funny.

My cat has one of those cardboard catnip super scratchers and he bites the sides of it and rips little pieces of cardboard off and throws them all over my room.
He also will come up to me lay down but stick his butt in the air so I scratch around his tail.

He loves my brothers shoes for some odd reason - he will search the house for his shoes then drop on his side and start rubbing his face on them and licking them - eww!!

My cat used to fetch pennies! Now I know that it wasn't safe for her, but she'd find them around the apt. and would bring it to my feet and meow untill I tossed it. Another thing that always found funny is that she has alwasy slept on my head! She did this when she was a kitten and still now when I go home to NY to see her and my family, even though she is a huge 15 lbs! I love it. I can't sleep at home if she isn't there with me. I'm glad that I can go for months with out being home, but she still runs to me when I walk through the door, and she always sleeps on my head. Oh, I miss her so much!
PS: I can't have her because FI is DEATHLY allergic. Just my luck

I thought of another one. My old cat, rest her soul, used to eat with her paw! She would scoop up the food into her paw and lick it off insead of eating from the dish. It was the cutest thing!!

My cat lexi always talks. from the time you walk in to the time you sit with her. if you talk back, she answers. she also thinks she a dog. she wags her tail, fetches & retrieves and thinks she is a lap dog. do you think she acts like that because i walk her on a leash outside?

My cat lays in front of the door whenever I open it so I can't go outside. If I do go outside, she starts to meow really loudly. It makes me feel like I'm breaking her heart. Then sometimes when I come home, I find he rin the bathroom sink curled up and sleeping! I love her

One of my cats (Maca, the female) LOVES to get her back scratched.. when you do this, she turns around and licks the hand you are using to scratch her.
If a fly gets into the house she chases it around and TALKS to it- it's so funny.,. she stare at the fly and just meows away!
She also LOVES to watch me cook- she sits on the kitchen table and watches me do everything- it's funny but annoying b/c I am CONSTANTLY cleaning the kitchen.

My rottie likes to push the blankets and sheets off FI's bed, she talks back to us, she snorts, and she cuddles in bed with us (she's 95 lbs)

Oh, I just thought of more...one of my cats likes to 'kill' his food. He scoops it out of his dish and bats it around THEN eats it. And if he's hungry, he pushes his dish to where ever you are in the house. It's nuts! My other cat likes to lick the handles of your backpack or suitcase, and he loves to lick the sticky side of tape!

I have to add this funny story that happened last night. We finally put the crib together but we haven't put the mattress in yet and Casanova being the nosybody that he is decides to jump into the crib, but all there is is the wire frame he started freaking out trying to stay balanced without his paws falling thru my sister and I were hysterical laughing and finally I got him out and he was all shaken up and I told him that's not for you Hopefully this will deter him from jumping in with the baby
