I really wanted the butterflies but I had posted it on the site and most of you told me it was a bad idea. My mom saw these neat streamers that you pull a handle and the streamers come out. The streames burst out but they dont make a mess because one end is attached to the handle. so it isnt mess-which the church was concerned about. Then I thought about rose petals, and rice that dissolves and bird seed... I just dont know
Help-Give me some ideas!!

Re: What r your guest throwing outside of church?
I ordered bubbles, and they wil all get little bags of rose petals. I asked at my church and they said that there is nothing they have a restriction on so most likely the rose petals.

We're doing bubbles at the church and then just for photos only having our bridal party throw rose petals (I love the look for pics). But bubbles photograph nicely as well.... and it gives the guests something to take home for the kids to play with so I know they'll get used...

I know the streamers you are talking about! I was just talking to my FSIL about this.. I was going to use rosepetals.. and then I thought I would use both.. but I think just rosepetals might look better in the pictures... not sure what to do now!

My church only allows birdseed and bubbles. I'm not using birdseed because it gets EVERYWHERE. So we're using bubbles.

Re: What r your guest throwing outside of church?
Has anyone ever actually seen rose petals thrown at a wedding? I want to do them but I'm afrain that they are too light and will just fall to the floor when people try to toss them!

Grenades, we're getting the party started quickly!
Probably bubbles and rice. I used to believe that damn urban legend about rice killing birds.
Honestly I think the rice kill birds thing is just an excuse. Most churches don't allow the rice/bird seed or rose petals for a couple of reasons (at least from what I have heard). *no one to clean it up afterwards *the chance of someone slipping and falling
I actually have a friend whose's church is not allowing them to use a asile runner because someone tripped on it comming out of the pew. This church also dosnt not allow rose petals inside of the church b/c they can stain the rugs and also a slipping hazard. And they do not allow the flower arrangements that are at the end of the pews. The tall ones with candles in it, since a candle wasn't in straight and tipped and set someone on fire.
Ps Most bubbles say soemthing to the point that they dont stain fabric.
