your mother or a close person how much your paying for your photographer, flowers, et al. My parents were married in the 1970's sooooo when I tell them $3,900 for flowers, $3,500 for DJ, etc these are the faces i get:

haha same here!
my parents price per person was about $22 and their flowers were less than $200 (my mom saves everything and found her receipt). I think they were like $161 - CRAZYYYYYYYY I wish these were the going rates

OMG yes my mother told me her wedding dress was $250 and it was custom made...now tell me how much a custom made dress goes for now....lol..

This can be so obnoxious.
My FFIL keeps asking why we arn't getting a house. It shouldn't take us that long to save up.
My FH's response: 'Yeah Dad, you paid $75,000 for your house. We have to save 20% which will be about $200,000'
Oh, also, my Parents paid $5000 for their Wedding! TOTAL!
They understand the prices because they are helping!

Okay when we told my MOM the price that our reception hall was orignally trying to give us, she was like scratch that......NEGOTIATE!!! So happy that we did listen to her

no what's worse is the FILs spending $500 on their backyard wedding in the 70s.
They think I'm spoiled for 1 and for another thing I'm going to 'drag FH into financial debt'

I haven't gotten any because FH and I are firm on the fact that if we are payong for this ourselves, there is absolutely no reason that any should know how much we are paying for anything. I made the mistake of letting my mom know how much the photographer I would like to have costs and she went into a whole speech about how it's completely unnecessary and blah blah blah. From then on, no info shall be given lol

Im with FutureJOC... Im not telling anyone shyt.... if you are not writing out a blank check ... just come, eat, drink and be merry on that day... TMI is not always good....
