Mine were Barney's NY and were SUPER comfortable...not one blister after 6+ hours of dancing!

I heard a few girls mention how comfortable satin ballroom dancing shoes are because the soles are suede and the shoes are padded. They usually also come in 2 1/2' and 3 1/2' heels, so you can choose what's most comfortable height wise.

ETA: Capezio makes nice ballroom shoes.

OMG I am so with you on that one. I got Feneroli Regalia Shoes - which were great I was in them for 12 hours and they were fine.

I've taken ballroom dance and own a pair of them - they truly are comfortable and you can kind a pair that doesn't look too 'costumey'.

Best advice I can offer breakin the shoes 2 months in advance, wear them little by little at home (so they don't get dirty)

Yes! I did this an dboth my shoes were fine...the ones I kept on most of the day were from DSW (I think the brand was TWO LIPS) and were 4 inch heels....loved them and still where them out since they were atypical wedding shoes!

Worldtone has great dance shoes. They also have a bridal line. I'm going with open toe dance shoes so I can party all night.

I actually read this in a bridal magazine. They said that professional dancers need to be comfortable, so that in itself should be a good sign about the shoes they wear.

I tried touch up shoes. Go to touchups.com. It is a dyeable brand. Super comfortable and very reasonable price wise.

I just went to Worldtone and they have a pretty good selection of shoes... I am so exctied... I bought shoes to pratice in my dancing lessons!!!

I actually find these to be the most comfortable shoes i own. They are Stuart Weitzman. I got them at Bloomies for $20!
