I have my appointment with Duet tomorrow and I heard you can get a lot of stuff in your package for reasonable prices with them. It is possible that if all goes well tomorrow I might Book with them. Before I do this since this is the first vendor i would be booking...what kind of questions should i be asking before i decide to put down some type of deposit??? I ultimately want photography and videography and don't wanna go above $5k but I might just want photography from them since my dj offers a good price for videography. With that said I want my album,2 parent albums, all my proofs, portrait photos, and since i dont care for the engagement shoot...can i either ask them to negotiate the price more or can i ask them to provide me with my thank you cards??? can some of you girls just give me advice on what i should be doing tomorrow and asking so i have it down on the contract and i do not screw up and pay for something that i ended up not wanting or forgetting to ask for!?!?
Thanks

Re: what should i be asking the photographer??
Since I didn't get any albums or extras i can't reccommend any questions for that but here is the stuff i asked my photog:
1.Will I have exclusive rights to ALL of my photos? 2. How many pics do you take? Is there a certain amount or do you take unlimited shots? 3. Do you do photo editing? If so, is there an additional fee? 4. Approximately how long does it take for the final pics to come in? 5. If I need you for any additiional time, what is the hourly fee and can that be paid onsite?(If you don't have a full day package)
Also, I'm not too familiar with this company but A LOT of ladies on here has used them, but if this is a company that has more than one photographer, make sure the one you book with is the one that shows on your wedding day. i have heard horror stories about the original photographer sending a replacement and the couple was not happy with their pics or happy with the fact that certain pics were not taken. There has even been a few cases where the sub REFUSED to take certain pics. Make a list of 'MUST HAVE' pics and let the photographer review it at your appointment to see if your requests can be met. If so, have them put something in your contract saying that they received a list of must take pics and they are able to do it . Whatever they say or offer to 'throw in' make sure you get it in your contract.
