What should I bring/ask videographer besides payment and...

I am bringing the payment, invite, pics, song selection for video... mmm do I make a list of what will go on the day of? I know he will catch the usual: cake cutting, garter toss, bo-k toss.... but should I write those down anyway??
Unity Candle lighting
Roses handed out to mom's
layout of the decor at reception....
directions to the locations.
Is there anything I am missing?

Thanks.

Aren't they videotaping you all day? If so then they will get it all. I don't think you will need to write it down unless you have special requests.

There are special things I am doing I want them to capture. But I don't know if I need to supply them with anything else besides that.

Make sure they have copies of the directions... TO YOUR HOUSE, TO THE CHURCH, TO THE PICTURE PLACE (in between church and reception), AND TO THE RECEPTION. If you are having 'Special Events' During your wedding just let them know WHEN these events will be occurring and that they are important and need to be recorded!! You will be fine!

The best way to see what a videographer will do for ou is to see samples of their past work. Then like the other posters said.. provide directions to the place as well as let them know what special requests you have.

Their job is to work WITH you and to adhere to your requests. Then as long as you liek thier work, then you sit back and let them do thier art. It's a lot to do about trust.

Very nicely put. Besides alot of videography is the magic of editing. So the real action happens when you aren't around anyway.

I do not know if u went with Bellarino, but we just met with him the other day, he goes over a checklist to see what you really want highlited in the video, and asks about certain things- like- Will there be a unity candle? etc. What songs did u go with?

I already booked my videographer. What I am basically looking for is what I need to supply them the day I make my final payment besides the invite, $$, pics and song lists for the video.

The directions is a good one thanks for that!

Princess I did book with Bellarino. I spoke with Phil about some of the details but just wanted to hear from other brides what they have provided the videographer besides what I stated above. There are things that will be going on or things I have done (programs, table frames...) that I def. want captured on the video as well as in pic format.
I am pretty much looking for the equivalent of what you would give your photographer as a 'must take' list of sorts to the videographer.

The photographer should definitely give you a list of must have but the video guy I dunno if their is a list. I made mention to my videographer that I really want shots of everything before it is touched by human hands, and she said that they always do that. I don't think you need to worry about your video guy unless you have very special requests. Otherwise I agree with the other posts about the directions and what not.

I used Phil for my wedding. When you go drop off the 2nd pmt. he fills out a form on all the events of the daylike are you having a bouquet toss or an anniversay dance. Other questions he covers are:

For the first dance is it a spotlight dance or wil the guest join in?

Do you want anyone interviewed at the wedding?

but just let him know if there is anything else.
