A few years ago, a long distance friend of mine got married. She sent me an invite and unfortunately this was around a time where I was having really bad financial problems. And around the time of the wedding, I had to fly to LA for 3 months so I wasnt able to make it. I didnt know wedding etiquette back then and was broke so I didnt go and never even sent a gift. We still talk and she never mentioned anything about it but I feel horrible especially considering Im inviting her to my wedding. I just want her to come, I would never expect a gift from her but she is so sweet that she would probably give me one anyway. I feel so horrible about how ignorant I was. Whats a good way to bring it up considering she never mentioned it??

Maybe you could get her a small personal gift, accompanied by a simple note or you could talk to her. I think she'll appreciate it, especially since you say she's a sweet person!
I don't think it's ever too late.

Next time you talk to her why don't you just say everything you just posted on here. It was really aparent to me that you feel terrible and I am sure she will feel the same as well as realize how much it has been bothering you. And then if you want to get her something small then you can still do that.
