Did your power come back on yet? I would give it a poke and see how defrosted it is... if it feels too soft I wouldn't take any chances, but if it's still pretty solid then you might be OK.

Do you have power yet? If the meat has started to defrost, I wouldn't take the chance - unless you want to cook it all tonight.
We STILL don't have power - I have to empty the entire fridge & freezer tonight - no meat though being vegetarian and all. But still, it s u c k s - thankfully we hadn't gone food shopping yet this week!

Everything in mine was frozen solid. Our power came on at 2 am. Dh says it should be fine (his dad owned supermarkets, so I hope he knows about this stuff).

We only lost power for a few hours and everything was still solid in my freezer. Even the ice pops were okay I would cook the meat today and then you can refreeze prepared meals.

I threw every single thing out. I know I will never eat it, I'm very picky with food and wont enjoy it if there's even a slight chance it's not OK. I dont even trust regular leftovers. My Mom kept all her stuff, she said she never opened the freezer and it was all fine, even her ice cream.
