So far I have: church, hall, photographer, video, and band. What should my next move be? I am dying to put another vendor but I still need to work out details for florist and limo. For example, I don't even know where I will be getting ready yet!! (I live in Brooklyn and am getting married on LI) Should I go ahead with limos anyway, even though I am not straight yet with what I am doing? Thanks ladies, I am one confused woman today!

You could book the limos if you want. Because you pay for a package like 3-4 hours so where you are being picked up should really be no big deal. I am using Serenity and booked them and I dont know where I am getting ready yet. I dont know if I am going to stay at a hotel near the church, in the appt fiance and I hope to get a couple of months before the wedding or in Fiances townhouse that he and his mother live in, but he owns. She is moving to Florida right before or right after the wedding. So if it is before I might get ready there and him in a hotel. If it is after we might get an appartment, if not probably in a hotel room. Defenitly call Eddie I am sure he can help you out,his number is 631-929-8888.

Do you have hair and makeup booked>those ladies book up fast! Do you have your dress? shoes, cameras, favors..man the list goes on and on!!!

some have booked in under 6 months, but I think it depends on preferrance to vendors. I've been booked for a few months & weddings is in 1 year

I second nailing down the makeup and hair person if you want them to come to you. I was lazy and the makeup person I wanted was booked like 10 months in advance.
Have you decided on bridesmaid dresses or your gown yet? My bridesmaid dresses took a few visits to find over a few weekends and then 4-5 months to come in. Also, my dress took almost 6 months to come it, you have time for the limos (i am getting married this Sept and I didn't book limos until April and the florist in January).

I think your next move should definitely be music and florist. You really need to know your details before you book limos because you need to know what your locations and times are to get a price.

not necessarily true, as long as you are in the proximity of where getting p/u. I do not have a definete location or time. I can update the info as we get closer.

I think you should do flowers next. You could book a limo but if you don't know where you are going to be it may cause confusion if you change your location later.

Thanks ladies!! I know hair and makeup is a good idea, but since I am still not completely sure where I will be that morning, I have just a couple of trials set up!! I don't know if I should concentrate on LI hair and make-up people or the city!! My best bet is to find someone who would be willing to travel just about anywhere, which I guess I would have to do!

Start looking for a dress. It takes some people 2 dresses to find the one, it takes other 4 months.

You are doing really well. I would say hair/makeup are next but you should probably figure out where you are going to be first. Start looking for your gown!
