What should i do? (re: alterations)

So Princess Bridals in Farmingdale is AWFUL ... the people are extremely rude and disgusting and i would never suggest that anyone shop there.

Unfortunately, i bought my dress there before realizing this ... i am wondering whether or not i should get my alterations done there ... it's very convenient and i'm capped at $135 which is great ... but i hate these people so much i don't know if i want to give them ANY money ...

any suggestions for me?

Before you make a decision, just make sure you find out what exactly is included in the $135 cap. Often, the bustle is not included.

Also, some bridal shops will not alter dresses that were purchased elsewhere. The shop that I ordered from closed before I received my dress. While I did receive the dress from the designer, a number of places I called would not even consider doing the alterations. I wound up having to go to Madame Paulette in the city, which was pricey.

I feel as if this is not the first time I've heard about how rude they are.

haha, i know ... plus, i like to keep saying it so that nobody makes the same mistake i made

i think you girls are totally right .... i will definitely NOT be getting my alterations there ... they're too rude to get any more of my hard-earned money.

I didn't find them rude, however I was really creeped out as the owner, or designer (whatever title he gave himself) kept COMING IN to the fitting room while I was standing there in my bra! I was like....ummm can you wait outside? He was impatient and wanted to make a sale...not on my account...

Sounds like your mind is made up! Good choice, IMO. I am having my alterations done by an independent woman who is great, but pricey. But so far, her work has been impeccable!

if you haven't bought the dress yet, please do yourself a favor and buy it from somewhere else. they are just so so so rude there that it's not even funny.

when i went in with my MOH (before i realized they were rude), they quoted me $200 for a dress ... i said i don't want my girls to pay that much and we could find other dresses for half the price ... they told me that if we don't buy their $200 dress, that whatever dress we buy will 'fall apart at the seams as the girls are walking down the aisle' .... they're ridiculously rude and i wouldn't wish anyone to have these kinds of negative vibes associated with their dresses.

don't buy from them.

wow, sorry for the long post ... lol

it doesn't sound like a pleasant experience at this bridal shop... i wouldn't give them any more $. you can also try to seek out a tailor that specializes in wedding gown alterations, sometimes, those might be even cheaper.

good luck!

If they are nasty and rude, I wouldn't give them another penny. Take your alterations somewhere else. It's better to have piece of mind and not dealing with people's attitude's than to deal with them and give them more money..

I would go somewhere else - I wouldn't want to give them 1 more dollar. I would rather paying another place more money who appreciates my business.
